Made from recycled, worn horseshoes in their natural state so the sculpture will gradually weather over time to a rich, rusty patina texture and finish.

Each shoe in the apple has to be individually curved in order to achieve the apple shape.

​

Each piece is made to order so no two pears are identical with each apple containing approximately 140 individual reclaimed horseshoes. 

 

The stem and leaf are made of a mild steel.

​

All pieces are unique and made by hand, with no moulds or formers so shapes and measurements are not exact.
